Dear Readers,

It’s a true joy to introduce you to my upcoming novella, Coming Back to You—a tender, emotional second-chance romance set in the quiet beauty of Yellow Creek, Colorado.

This story is for anyone who’s ever wondered what if… What if the person you once loved—the one you never stopped thinking about—walked back into your life?

Cortney Harrison never thought she’d return to Yellow Creek, especially with her wedding fast approaching. But fate has a way of leading us back to where it all began. And standing in the middle of her hometown past is Ryan Williams, the cowboy she left behind—the man whose silence still echoes in her heart.

Years may have passed, but the tension between Cortney and Ryan hasn’t faded. Old wounds reopen, feelings resurface, and both must confront what was lost… and what might still remain.

Coming Back to You is a story about timing, forgiveness, and the quiet ache of unresolved love. Set against the rugged charm of a Colorado ranch town, this novella explores whether letting go means saying goodbye—or making room for a new beginning.

Stay tuned for updates on the release of Coming Back to You. I’m looking forward to sharing Cortney and Ryan’s journey with you very soon.

Warmly,

Luis Ammerman

I absolutely loved it as a kid — that strange mix of comedy, mystery, and just plain weird suburban chaos. Seeing Tom Hanks running around suspicious of his neighbors made it unforgettable for me, and it’s one of those films that stuck in my memory for years.

The original movie came out in 1989 and starred Tom Hanks alongside Bruce Dern, Carrie Fisher, and Corey Feldman. It followed a regular suburban guy who becomes convinced that the odd new family down the street is hiding something dark. The film mixed humor with creepy moments and poked fun at how quickly neighbors can turn paranoid. It didn’t get amazing reviews at first, but over time it became a true cult classic — and honestly, it still feels like a perfect snapshot of 80s entertainment.

Fast forward to now, and The ‘Burbs has been reimagined as a television series — and I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it at first. Some classics are hard to touch. But surprisingly… I really enjoyed the show.

The new series, released in 2026 on Peacock, stars Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall as a couple moving back into a quiet suburban neighborhood that turns out to be full of secrets. What starts as normal suburban life quickly becomes a mystery filled with suspicious neighbors, dark secrets, and plenty of humor along the way.

What I liked most is that the show doesn’t try to copy the movie exactly. Instead, it keeps that strange, funny, slightly creepy vibe while adding modern storytelling and deeper themes about community and hidden secrets behind perfect lawns.

Watching the series brought back that same feeling I had as a kid watching the original — wondering what was really going on behind closed doors and laughing at the chaos that follows. It feels familiar enough for longtime fans but fresh enough to stand on its own.

In the end, the 1989 movie will always hold a special place in my heart. But the new series surprised me in the best way. It reminded me why I loved The ‘Burbs in the first place — the humor, the mystery, and that feeling that even the quietest neighborhoods might be hiding something strange.

If you loved the movie growing up, as I did, I think the series is definitely worth a watch. Not because it replaces the classic… but because it gives a new generation a reason to fall in love with The ‘Burbs all over again.

— Luis

Dear Readers,

Today I want to share something incredibly personal with you — my upcoming novella, Locking Down Love.

I actually wrote this story a few years ago during one of the hardest moments of my life. I was really sick with COVID, stuck at home trying to get better. Most days, I barely had the energy to do anything, but I found myself sitting on my sofa with a notebook in my lap, a warm bowl of chicken soup beside me, slowly bringing this story to life. Writing became my comfort during a time when everything felt uncertain and heavy — and in many ways, this story helped me heal.

About the Story

Highcrest Drive has always been a quiet street in the small Vermont town of Cider Grove — the kind of place where life moves gently, and neighbors pass each other with familiar smiles. But when lockdown arrives, that quiet turns heavier than ever.

Jeremy Forester, an English professor who spends more time with books than people, and Amy Hoover, a waitress known for her easy smile at the Maplewood Diner, suddenly find themselves navigating long days of solitude only a few doors apart.

Through small gestures that start as simple kindness, a connection grows between them, neither of them expected. Messages turn into conversations, conversations turn into late nights lit by phone screens, and two neighbors discover that even in isolation, companionship has a way of breaking through.

Locking Down Love is a heartwarming novella about finding light in uncertain times — where the smallest acts carry the deepest meaning, and love has a way of arriving exactly when it’s needed most.

Stay Tuned

I wrote this story from a place of vulnerability, hope, and healing — and I can’t wait to finally share it with you. More updates and sneak peeks are coming soon.

With gratitude,

—Luis

Dear Readers,

Big news hitting the holiday pipeline—my first LGBTQ Christmas novella, A Christmas Wish, is coming soon.

This story follows Glen Branson, a lawyer running on empty, who heads back to his mountain hometown expecting a quiet seasonal reset. Instead, he gets swept right back into the town’s cozy rhythms—fresh pastries at Julie’s bakery, the buzz of Christmas prep, and snowy streets that reboot memories he didn’t realize he missed.

Then there’s Derek Winslow. Steady. Warm. Quietly magnetic. The kind of man who doesn’t need to dazzle to make an impact—he fits. As festive sparks fly, Glen finds himself navigating a choice with real emotional weight: return to his old life, or embrace the connection he never saw coming.

Packed with hope, tenderness, and small-town holiday magic, A Christmas Wish is built for anyone who wants a feel-good, heart-forward queer romance to curl up with this season.

Stay tuned—more details are on the way, and I can’t wait to share this winter love story with you.

Warm regards,

Luis

Frankenstein Reborn: Why the 2025 Adaptation Rekindled My Love for Mary Shelley’s Classic

Dear Readers,

I just experienced something incredible — the new Frankenstein (2025), and I have to say, it completely reignited my love for one of literature’s greatest classics. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein has been close to my heart since middle school. I remember being fascinated by the themes of creation, ambition, and loneliness — and even now, I find myself rereading it every few years. But this new adaptation? It’s something else entirely.

Guillermo del Toro brought Shelley’s gothic world to life in a way that feels both timeless and brand-new. Oscar Isaac delivers a gripping performance as Victor Frankenstein — full of obsession and tragic brilliance — while Jacob Elordi’s portrayal of the Creature is heartbreakingly human. The cinematography, atmosphere, and emotional weight all work together to make this film not just a retelling, but a reinvention.

What I love most is that it doesn’t just show horror — it explores humanity. The film dives deep into guilt, love, and the consequences of playing god. It captures everything that made Shelley’s work so revolutionary, while giving it a modern cinematic pulse that lingers long after the credits roll.

If you’re a fan of classic literature, gothic beauty, and emotionally charged storytelling, don’t miss this one. It’s dark, it’s beautiful, and it’s a reminder that some stories never die — they evolve.

Until next time, keep reading, keep dreaming, and keep creating.

Warm regards,

Luis

#Frankenstein2025 #MaryShelley #GuillermoDelToro #OscarIsaac #JacobElordi #GothicCinema #ClassicMeetsModern #BookToFilm #LiteraryLove

Dear Readers,

There’s something about Christmas in a small town that hits you right in the feels — the snowflakes that fall like confetti, the smell of cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven, and the buzz of a community coming together for one magical event. In Winterberry Peak, Colorado, that event is the Christmas Dance Contest — and this year, it’s about to change two lives forever.

Tiffany Grimes is back in town after ten long years away. Once a rising ballet star, she’s returned home searching for peace — and maybe a little purpose. Her dream of opening her own dance studio flickers like a candle in the window, but old wounds and heartbreak have her second-guessing every step forward.

Then there’s John Morton — single dad, bakery owner, and man who swore he’d never dance again. His life revolves around his daughter and the smell of sugar and spice, but beneath his calm exterior lies a story of love lost and lessons learned.

When fate (and a persistent town committee) pair Tiffany and John for the annual Christmas Dance Contest, the sparks start flying faster than snow in a Colorado blizzard. Between the laughter, the stumbles, and the late-night rehearsals under twinkle lights, something deeper begins to take shape — something neither of them expected, but both desperately need.

The Christmas Dance Contest is a heartwarming story of healing, hope, and the kind of love that finds you when you least expect it. It’s about second chances — not just in love, but in life — and the beauty of dancing again, even when your heart’s been broken.

So get ready, readers — because this cozy Christmas romance is coming next month, and it’s guaranteed to make your heart twirl.

✨ The Christmas Dance Contest — coming soon to warm your heart and light up your holiday season.

Luis

#ChristmasRomance #WinterberryPeak #HolidayLoveStory #SecondChances #BalletAndBaking #FeelGoodFiction #CozyReads #RomanticChristmas #NewBookComingSoon #FestiveReads #BookLaunch2025

Dear Readers,

Some stories start as a spark — a single what if that refuses to fade. For me, If You Say I Do wasn’t just an idea. It was a story that insisted on being told.

From the first page, I knew this book would be something special — not just a love story, but a journey about timing, courage, and finding home in unexpected places. If You Say I Do is set in Maple Springs, Vermont — a small, picture-perfect town where everyone knows your name and the rumor mill runs faster than the morning coffee.

This story follows two best friends, Tori Bennett and Brady Whitaker, partners in their event planning business, who accidentally become the town’s biggest headline after a misunderstanding turns into a fake engagement. What starts as damage control soon becomes something much deeper — a slow, emotional awakening between two people who have been right for each other all along.

It’s a story full of laughter, small-town charm, autumn leaves, and a love that sneaks up quietly — the kind that doesn’t explode, but unfolds like a sunrise. Writing it made me laugh, cry, and rediscover why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place.

I wrote this novel for everyone who believes in second chances, in love after loss, and in finding forever when you least expect it. It’s about friendship, faith, and that delicate line between professional and personal — and what happens when you finally cross it.

I look forward to sharing this story with you soon. If You Say I Do is coming your way — and I promise, it’s filled with heart, humor, and all the emotion that makes love stories timeless.

Thank you for taking this journey with me, for cheering on my stories, and for believing in stories that feel like home.

With warmth and gratitude,

Luis

<align-center>A Christmas Wedding in South Bend
By Luis Ammerman</align-center>

<align-center>“Sometimes love circles back — not because we planned it, but because it was always meant to.”</align-center>

Snow had been falling since dawn in South Bend, Indiana — the kind of snow that hushes everything. Streets gleamed white under the soft gold of holiday lights. Inside St. Augustine’s Chapel, warmth bloomed from the radiators, and candles scented the air with pine and cinnamon.

Renee Miller stood before the mirror in the small bridal room, her lace gown whispering around her. It wasn’t nerves, not really. It was awe. The moment she’d dreamed of since the first December she could remember — only this time, the man waiting for her at the altar wasn’t a stranger.

He was Byron Simmons — her first love, her once-upon-a-time, and now… her forever.
<align-center>
</align-center>
Love, Interrupted

They’d grown up together right there in South Bend. Byron was the star of the high school basketball team; Renee was the girl behind the yearbook camera, always catching him mid-jump shot. They dated that senior year — the kind of young love that burns bright and ends quietly when life begins to pull two people in opposite directions.

Byron joined the Air Force. Renee chased her career in Chicago—a few phone calls, a few letters — and then silence.

For years, she told herself it was puppy love. But when her mother passed last winter, Byron showed up at the funeral. He’d moved back to help his father with the family hardware store. He stood outside in the snow, hat in hand, eyes still carrying that steady, familiar light.

And somehow, time folded back in on itself.
<align-center>
</align-center>
The Christmas Eve Ceremony

Now, one year later, she stood in white again — not for graduation, not for a beginning she couldn’t yet see, but for a promise she could finally trust.

Her sister adjusted her veil. “Cold feet?”

“Warm heart,” Renee said softly.

Down the hall, Byron waited by the altar. His best man nudged him, whispering, “You’re pale, man. You okay?”

He grinned. “I’m about to marry the girl I’ve loved since I was seventeen. Yeah, I’m okay.”

The organ began to play “O Holy Night.”

When the chapel doors opened, Byron forgot how to breathe. Renee appeared — veil like mist, bouquet of white roses tied in gold ribbon — and in that instant, everything else faded.

The priest spoke of patience, of kindness, of love that’s brave enough to return.

<align-center>“You’ve shown me it’s in the small things — the way you shovel my driveway before I wake up, how you leave the porch light on when I’m late. That’s the kind of forever I want.”
— Renee Miller vows.</align-center>

Byron squeezed her hands. “You’re my home, Renee. You always have been.”

Applause erupted — the joyful kind that spills from the pews like laughter after a long silence.
<align-center>
</align-center>
The Reception at The Oliver Inn

The celebration moved downtown to The Oliver Inn, a historic Victorian bed-and-breakfast glowing with garlands, white poinsettias, and a tree tall enough to brush the ceiling’s crown molding. Guests clinked mugs of peppermint hot chocolate instead of champagne. Each table was crowned with snow globes that guests couldn’t resist shaking between songs.

Halfway through the night, Byron tugged Renee’s hand and led her to the porch. Snow still fell in lazy flakes.

“Do you realize,” he said, wrapping his coat around her shoulders, “we’re the last wedding of the year in South Bend?”

“That’s fitting,” she said. “We’re closing the chapter right.”

He smiled. “And starting the next one.”

Carolers passed by on the street, singing ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.’ Renee leaned into him, her head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

“I never thought I’d find this again,” she whispered.

“Neither did I,” Byron said. “Guess some love stories just circle back around.”

Love That Lingers Like Snow

After the guests drifted home and the candles melted low, the couple sat beneath the glow of the Christmas tree.

Renee lifted a fragile glass angel — one of her late mother’s ornaments. Byron had glued it back together after one of her nieces dropped it earlier that week.

“You saved it,” she said softly.

“I wasn’t about to let something this beautiful stay broken.”

She smiled through tears. “Promise me something.”

“Anything.”

“When the snow melts and life gets loud again — don’t let us forget this feeling.”

He brushed a loose curl from her cheek. “I couldn’t if I tried.”

Midnight in South Bend

Outside, the town clock struck twelve. Bells echoed from the cathedral downtown. Christmas morning had arrived.

Inside The Oliver Inn, beneath the twinkle of lights and the hush of new snow, Byron and Renee danced one last time — no music, just the rhythm of falling snow and a shared heartbeat.

And if someone had walked past the frosted window just then, they might have paused — because what they would’ve seen wasn’t just a wedding.

It was the quiet miracle of two people who found their way home again.

Because sometimes, love doesn’t need fireworks or fanfare. Sometimes, it just needs the right night, a little snow… and the courage to say yes one more time.

#ChristmasWedding #SouthBendLoveStory #WinterRomance #HolidayLove #ChristmasRomance #SmallTownWedding #TheOliverInn #SnowfallPromise #LoveInDecember #RomanticStory #ByLuisAmmerman #CozyChristmas #HeartwarmingFiction #FestiveLove #WinterBride

Dear Readers,

Some stories don’t begin with a plan.

They begin with a feeling.

That’s how Something Borrowed found me—not through plotting or planning, but with a quiet image I couldn’t shake: a woman unlocking the door to an old bridal boutique on a breezy Florida morning. I didn’t know her name yet. I didn’t know why she’d returned. But I knew she was holding on to something—memories, longing, maybe even regret. And I knew I needed to follow her.

Her name became Becky Navarro. And the boutique wasn’t just a shop—it was a beginning. A place where a second chance quietly waited.

This story came fast, blooming like a wildflower in the sun. Maybe that’s because I set it in my own hometown, Pompano Beach. The familiar boardwalks, the sudden summer storms, the scent of salt and citrus in the air—it all came naturally. Writing Something Borrowed felt like going home.

But this isn’t just a story about a place. It’s about time. And tenderness. And the kind of love that doesn’t shout—it lingers. Waits. Hopes.

Becky and Matthew aren’t starting fresh. They’re picking up pieces. They’re discovering what it means to try again, not because everything is perfect, but because something still matters.

That idea of Something Borrowed took on deeper meaning as I wrote. It became a symbol—not just of wedding tradition, but of trust. Of carrying forward what was once held close. Of finding beauty in the in-between.

There’s a quiet moment near the end—one I didn’t see coming—that perfectly captured what this story means to me. A gesture. A ring. A promise that love doesn’t always arrive loudly, but it always knows where to return.

I’m proud to call this a novelette. It’s short, yes—but it’s filled with heart. These smaller stories often hold the deepest truths, whispered between the lines.

If you’ve ever wondered what if…

If you’ve ever loved someone from a distance, or hoped for a door to reopen...

If you believe in love that grows quietly but never fades—

This story is for you.

Something Borrowed will be available soon. I can’t wait to place it in your hands.

Thank you for taking this journey with me—and for believing in stories that take their time, speak softly, and stay with you long after the last page.

With all my heart,

Luis

Dear Readers,

Okay—I just saw the trailer for the new version of The Running Man and I am so excited! As someone who’s been a longtime fan of Stephen King (or in this case, Richard Bachman), this was one of those “finally!” moments.

Let’s be clear: I really enjoyed the original 1987 movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was bold, wild, and packed with that over-the-top '80s action flair. But from the looks of this new version? We're getting something that still feels fun and entertaining—but maybe with a little more heart from the book. And yes, it even looks closer to the original novel, which makes me ridiculously happy.

For those who don’t know, The Running Man was one of Bachman’s most gripping stories—fast-paced, intense, and surprisingly emotional in places. And while the original movie was iconic in its own way, it definitely took some creative liberties. This new trailer seems to strike a great balance: action-packed, visually exciting, and true to the spirit of the book without being too dark or dreary.

Also, can I take a moment to say—Roadwork is still my favorite Bachman novel. And yes, I’m holding out hope that someone, someday, gives it the adaptation it deserves. It’s raw, emotional, and so underrated. Come on, Hollywood. You know it would be amazing.

So yeah, fellow King fans, mark your calendars. The Running Man is making a comeback, and it looks like it's going to be a blast. I’ll be the one in the front row with popcorn in hand and a Bachman paperback in my bag.

Until next time,

—Luis

#TheRunningMan #StephenKing #RichardBachman #TheRunningManMovie #TrailerBuzz #BookToScreen #SciFiAction #80sRemake #StephenKingFans #Roadwork

Dear Readers,

I have something thrilling—and a little chilling—to share with you. After years out of print, my supernatural novella once known as The Ripper is finally back in the world… but with a new face, a new title, and a dark new energy.

Introducing Descendant — a supernatural suspense thriller that digs deep into the shadows of history and unearths the terrifying question: What if evil is passed down through blood?

This story means a great deal to me. It was one of the earliest works I wrote that truly explored my love for mystery, horror, and the unknown. For a long time, the story lived in silence, tucked away in old files and memory. But some stories don’t like to stay buried—and this one clawed its way back to the surface. So I gave it new life.

Now available on all major eBook platforms—Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Nook, and more—Descendant invites you into a modern-day nightmare rooted in one of the darkest legends of all time: Jack the Ripper. But this isn’t just a rehash of the past. This is what happens after.

Set in present-day Florida, the story follows a father and daughter drawn into a gruesome pattern of killings eerily similar to those committed in 1888 London. But this time, the murders are personal. And as the investigation unfolds, they discover that blood isn’t just thicker than water—it remembers.

If you enjoy eerie atmospheres, dark family secrets, ghostly echoes, and that slow-creeping dread that crawls up your spine, I think you’ll feel right at home in the world of Descendant. And let me be clear:

This is not for the faint of heart.

As I republish this story under my name, I can’t help but dream bigger. In my heart, I’ve always imagined Descendant on screen—a suspenseful, shadowy thriller with fog-laced flashbacks, tormented spirits, and a bloodline no one wants to inherit.

What a film it could be.

Maybe someday. Maybe soon.

Until then, I invite you to read it, share it, and tell others about it. Stories like this were meant to be felt in the dark.

Thank you all for your continued support, encouragement, and love for storytelling. This is only the beginning.

With chills and gratitude,

Luis Ammerman

Dear Readers,

I just finished Verity by Colleen Hoover—and I had to jump on here immediately to tell you about it.

This book completely consumed me. From the very first page, I was hooked. Hoover’s writing is sharp, unsettling, and addictive in the best way. Verity is a psychological thriller that takes you down dark corridors you didn’t see coming, and I honestly could not put it down. Every chapter left me wanting more, and every twist pulled me deeper into the story.

Without spoiling too much, the plot centers around Lowen, a struggling writer who gets the opportunity of a lifetime—to finish a bestselling series for the mysterious and injured author Verity Crawford. What she finds in Verity’s home, however, is something much more disturbing than just notes and outlines.

This is not your typical Colleen Hoover love story. It’s twisted. It’s haunting. It messes with your head. And I enjoyed every single page of it.

What makes it even more exciting? I just found out Verity is being made into a movie—and I honestly cannot wait to see how they bring this gripping story to the screen. With the right cast and director, this could be absolutely incredible.

If you’re looking for a book that will keep you up at night (literally), leave you questioning every character’s intentions, and spark some serious post-read discussion, Verity is the one. Trust me—you won’t be able to stop thinking about it.

Happy reading,

Luis

Dear Readers,

Some stories never let go—and I Know What You Did Last Summer is one of them for me.

I was just eight years old when my mom gave me the novel by Lois Duncan as a birthday gift. It was my first real taste of mystery and suspense, and I devoured it. That book opened a whole new world to me. I still have my original copy—its pages a little worn, the cover soft with age—but it remains one of my most treasured possessions.

The new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie is hitting theaters July 18, 2025, and I couldn’t be more excited. This time, it’s a legacy sequel, bringing together new characters and old favorites. Yes, that means Jennifer Love Hewitt is back as Julie James and Freddie Prinze Jr. returns as Ray Bronson. Seeing them together again feels like coming home to a story that never truly left us.

This time around, a new group of friends finds themselves haunted after a deadly accident, and they must turn to the only two people who truly understand what they’re going through—Julie and Ray. A new generation meets the past, and secrets are ready to surface again.

And yes—I’ve watched the trailer multiple times. That moment when Julie stands in the rain and shouts, “What are you waiting for?!” gave me chills all over again. That line alone brings back the adrenaline, the dread, and the thrill that made the original unforgettable.

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, with a script by Robinson, Leah McKendrick, and Sam Lansky, this film looks like it’s honoring the legacy while carving out a fresh, suspenseful path for today’s audience. A blend of modern horror and classic callbacks? Count me in.

I can’t wait to sit in that darkened theater, popcorn in hand, heart racing as the opening credits roll. For me, this is more than a movie—it’s a return to the story that made me fall in love with suspense fiction in the first place.

So yes, I’m ready.

What are you waiting for?

I’m HOOKED AGAIN.

—

Luis Ammerman

Hello, dear readers!

I’m so excited to announce the release of my novelette Amarillo Sky, which debuted on April 4, 2023. This story is a heartfelt journey about love, healing, and the power of coming home.

Kristina returns to Texas to care for her sick mother, but what she doesn’t expect is to face old wounds—and old love—in the form of Anthony. It’s been three years since he broke her heart and she fled to New York City, yet seeing him again stirs emotions she thought were long buried. Can Kristina find the courage to confront her past and open her heart once more? Or will the fear of getting hurt again keep her from embracing a second chance?

Amarillo Sky is about those moments when life surprises us, when love hangs in the air, and when being bold enough to reach for it can change everything.

This novelette is available exclusively on all eBook platforms and Audible—perfect for those who love to read or listen wherever life takes them.

Thank you for sharing this special story with me. I hope Kristina and Anthony’s journey touches your heart as deeply as it did mine while writing it.

Warmly,

Luis Ammerman

I'm delighted to share with you my novel, The Secret Behind Sycamore Hills, a romantic Regency mystery that delves into the complexities of love, secrecy, and the pursuit of happiness. This novel was officially released on August 10, 2022, and I’m so excited to invite you into the world of Sycamore Hills.

Ophelia Harlow, a diligent London housekeeper, finds herself unexpectedly proposed to by the charming and wealthy Charles Witherford. Eager to escape her demanding position, Ophelia accepts, envisioning a life of comfort and affection. However, upon moving to Witherford Manor, she quickly realizes that her new life is far from the fairy tale she imagined. The manor's staff is cold and unwelcoming, and Charles's behavior becomes increasingly erratic. As she uncovers unsettling truths about his late wife and his own past, Ophelia is left questioning whether she has made the gravest mistake of her life.

The Secret Behind Sycamore Hills is a tale of suspense and romance, where every corner of the grand estate hides a new mystery, and every relationship is shrouded in layers of secrets. It's a story that explores the lengths one will go to for love and the courage required to confront the truth.

Thank you for joining me on this journey into the heart of Sycamore Hills. I hope Ophelia's story resonates with you and reminds us all of the importance of trust, resilience, and the pursuit of truth.

Warm regards,

Luis Ammerman

Hello, dear readers!

I’m thrilled to bring you Against All Odds, my Regency-era spin on the timeless Cinderella story — but with a twist you won’t want to miss. This novel was officially released on May 11, 2021, and I couldn’t be more excited to share Hazel’s journey with you!

Meet Hazel, a baron’s daughter trapped in a world of chores and cruelty after losing her parents and falling under the control of a wicked stepmother. She dreams of escape and love, but her future looks bleak… until fate steps in.

Enter the Duke of Caldwell: a man searching not just for a wife, but for the woman who can fill the void left by his late mother — someone unique, beautiful, and truly special. When Hazel stops to help after his carriage breaks down, sparks fly, and hope blooms. But their courtship isn’t smooth sailing. Hazel’s stepmother schemes to keep them apart, and just when happiness seems within reach, tragedy strikes.

Against All Odds is a story about love, resilience, and the strength to fight for what matters most — even when the world seems determined to hold you down. It’s a tale of heart, hope, and a heroine who refuses to give up.

Thank you for joining me on Hazel’s journey. I hope her courage and determination inspire you as much as she inspired me to write this story.

With warmth,

Luis Ammerman

Hello, dear readers!

I’m Luis Ammerman, and I’m beyond excited to share with you my very first novel, In the Arms of the Enemy, released on June 17, 2020 (paperback) and June 26, 2020 (Kindle). Writing this book has been a thrilling journey — full of twists, turns, and of course, a little bit of romance.

Set against the turbulent backdrop of the American Revolutionary War, this story follows Corey and Miranda—two people on opposite sides who find themselves thrown together by fate, danger, and unexpected love. I wanted to explore what happens when enemies become allies, when hearts break down barriers, and how love can bloom even in the darkest of times.

This book is close to my heart because it combines history, mystery, and romance — all the ingredients that hooked me as a reader growing up. I hope you feel that same spark as you follow Corey and Miranda’s story.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Your support means the world. Whether you’re a history buff, a hopeless romantic, or just love a good story with heart, I hope In the Arms of the Enemy sweeps you away.

Happy reading!

— Luis Ammerman
